Citrix Receiver Versions

If you download the Receiver from http://receiver.citrix.com you will get the “Standard” Citrix Receiver. (as of this writing, it is version Receiver 3.4). There is an Enterprise version, you will have to have a mycitrix logon to get it. Here are two links for it, either should work. This version is also known as the “Receiver for Windows 3.4 (Legacy PNA)”

INSTALLATION NOTES for Enterprise version:
If you do a standard install, you will only have applications in the start menu.
To install it like “the good old days,” use the installation string below:
CitrixReceiverEnterprise.exe /silent ADDLOCAL=”ICA_Client, SSON, USB, DesktopViewer, Flash, PN_Agent, Vd3d” ENABLE_SSON=”Yes”

You can remove SSON, or not enable it.

 

 

How to Configure Citrix Receiver for Windows for HTTP Stores

Caution! This procedure requires you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

  • Under HKLM\Software\Citrix\Dazzle, set AllowAddStore value to in order to allow users to add non-secure stores.
  • Under HKLM\Software\Citrix\Dazzle, set AllowSavePwd value to A in order to allow users to save their passwords for non-secure stores.
  • To be able to add a store that is configured in StoreFront with a TransportType of HTTP, add the following key value under HKLM\Software\Citrix\AuthManager : ConnectionSecurityMode (REG_SZ type) and set it to Any.
  • Exit and restart the Citrix Receiver.
